What symptoms should lead one to break a fast?

Hi there! I'm a fit young man and have twice tried to fast for 72h (6 months apart) but felt I had to break at 40h and 48h due to feeling unwell (lightheaded, weak, brain fogged, mildly nauseated, an ounce of diarrhea). What symptoms would you recommend pushing through, and which should be treated as unsafe? I was consuming water, sodium, potassium, and magnesium.

Ivermectin as a prophylactic

Hi, everybody is talking about Ivermectin related to Covid, but I would like to know your opinion about Ivermectin as an all around prophylactic for viruses in general (Dr. Pierre Kory hypothesis). Thanks.

Your June 2021 interview with Gary Taubes: His statements on obesity applied to a longevity perspective.

Would you give your analysis of Gary Taubes’ statements made during the obesity/nutrition segment of your recent interview as they pertain to the topic of longevity? It seems that his primary focus is the issue of what causes obesity, but when one begins to take what I would call his recommendations and one attempts to view them from the perspective of what is going to improve or maximize my healthspan and lifespan, questions arise that I believe your insight and guidance would prove beneficial for. The longevity matrix is excessively complicated and the applicability of some of the things Taubes has seemed to endorse as a result of his obesity work to living a long and healthy life is a tough nut to crack, particularly for those who aren’t obese.

Glutathione: interview topic

Peter, glutathione's biochemistry and heath benefits is also a passion of mine. Oral glutathione is not effective as it is destroyed by gut acid and digestive enzymes (liposomal delivery works somewhat better). However, a unique strain of probiotic bacteria has been discovered named Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3, which synthesizes glutathione. When taken orally, it synthesizes GSH in the GI tract and substantially boosts glutathione levels....with results in many health benefits. I'd love to be a guest on The Drive and discuss glutathione & ME-3. Human clinical trials have been conducted....lots of good documentation.

Glutathione & Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3

Peter, I intended to attach a link to the following article which I wrote on glutathione & ME-3 titled Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3:  A New Era in Glutathione Therapy that appeared in June 2017 issue of Townsend Letter https://www.townsendletter.com/June2017/glutathione0617.html
