For the past 20 years I’ve been generally mindful of bone health and have had several normal Dexa scans. However, the latest shows I’ve lost 15 percent bone mass in 3 years and this classifies me into Osteopenia. This also coincided with menopause. A deep dive that goes beyond the basics would be so helpful. For example, how do hormones affect bone health and is HRT a protective measure? What are the benefits and risks of HRT? Is fasting, with its negative affects on muscle mass (at least for me), worth it? How to evaluate potential gut health and absorption issues. How much strength training is appropriate. Pros/cons of current drug therapies. The list goes on…
I've always been puzzled that dairy has a low glycemic index but stimulates a high output of insulin. I think I read somewhere it's due to the particular amino acid profile. There are some studies suggesting dairy consumption may contribute to insulin resistance. Do you agree? If so, do you think it may vary by type of dairy product? I do like my fat free Greek yogurt and low-carb pasta with fat free mozzarella! The studies suggested the amount of fat did not matter, as both types decreased insulin sensitivity. :( Thanks. https://academic.oup.com/ajcn/article/113/3/534/5979929?login=true https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4325471/
Are you concerned with speculation that the spike protein utilized in vaccines may cross the blood-brain barrier and/or cause vascular damage? As someone that is not familiar with human physiology, I have heard/read some things online that worry me. Honestly concerned and honestly asking.
