Two Zone 2 Questions

For the purposes of Zone 2 - on a stationary bike, are all watts created equal? In other words, is there a meaningful difference between a person who rides at 110 watts with a higher cadence and lower resistance and a person who rides at a 110 watts with a lower cadence and higher resistance? What effect do you expect outside temperature to have on an individual's Zone 2 range/level? I know that if it's too hot or too cold, the perceived effort "feels" harder, but what's happening physiologically?

MRI

Hi Peter, I didn’t know that full-body MRIs were available without a doctor’s recommendation until you mentioned that it was something you and your wife did each year. I am looking into several companies that offer it. Would you feel comfortable sharing the name of the company you use? Thanks so much!

How does Peter judge the risk of COVID variants for someone who is fully vaccinated?

For people who are fully vaccinated, how should they judge their risks around COVID-19. Is it back to pre-pandemic? What factors should one be paying attention to when judging the risk of possible variants that are vaccine resistant? Thanks Peter.

What can be done to lower smoking risks after you quit, and are you always at increased risks?

I started smoking at the age of 27, did half my time with a vape, and as I approached my late 30's I finally made the commitment to quit. Some people have smoked a pack a day for 10, 20 30 years or more but still quit. What steps can a person take aside from quitting smoking that will decrease their risk factors that were caused from smoking in the first place, and what potential damage and increased risk factors are ex-smokers stuck with no matter what they do? Are we always doomed for increase lung cancer risk for example even if we live"perfect lives" after quitting?

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

There are thousands of years of anecdotal evidence suggesting the benefits of TCM - acupuncture, herbs, moxa burning, cupping, etc. I understand there are extensive data indicating the benefit of acupuncture on female fertility. More recently, the Nobel-winning discovery of artemisinin stemmed from a study of TCM texts, which pointed researchers to sweet wormwood. I would love to hear a deep dive on TCM - its promises and shortcomings - especially if you could bring a researcher familiar with the modality on for an interview.
