New HRV based Aerobic Threshold estimation

Any thoughts on using this if we don't have a tactate measurer? https://www.hrv4training.com/blog/hrv-based-aerobic-threshold-estimation-new-paper

Alcohol substitute

Do you know of any substitutes for the "buzz" of alcohol? I really need something that I can look forward to that mimics that feeling to keep me from drinking. While drinking gives me that, it almost always leads to poor subsequent choices regarding food, drinking more than intended, etc. Is there any reasonable replacement out there?

To-do's when one gets a breast cancer diagnosis?

Peter - if someone you cared much about just received a diagnosis for breast cancer, what things would you have them read, listen to (podcast?), investigate (fasting?), or do, *in addition to* their normal treatment (and maybe even after discussion with their oncologist, etc)?

Thoughts on Protein Restriction in the Context of Longevity

Observational epidemiological studies indicate that higher protein intake is associated with age-related and metabolic disease, and emerging evidence in animal studies appear to suggest that protein restriction (and restriction of specific amino acids) can increase longevity and improve/reverse metabolic disease. However, it still seems quite certain that increased protein intake is likely an important intervention to prevent sarcopenia in older adults. Unlike carbohydrate and caloric restriction, I don't think that you have mentioned much about your thoughts on it's efficacy and utilization in certain instances versus others. Would you be able to discuss what you make of the evidence to date (both observational and mechanistic studies), thoughts on its' applications, and if it should be an important force in moving the dietary restriction lever?

Peter mentioned he advises patients against stimulant-based ADHD treatment; why?

In one of the podcasts he said he discourages his patients from using Adderall et al. Can you elaborate on what concerns you have about that class of medication, and is there an alternate treatment he would recommend to those who struggle with attention deficit issues?
