Hi, I was wondering if you could talk about the impact mental illness (depression, bipolar disorder, etc) can have on brain health and aging? If someone is APOE4/4 and at risk for Alzheimer’s, are medications like Xanax off limits for treating anxiety as benzos can increase risk of dementia? And what about using mood stabilizers (ie Lamictal) long term? Would like to hear more about weighing pros/cons of needing medication for treating mental health while being mindful of not increasing risk of neurodegenerative diseases. Thanks.
Hi! On one of your AMAs you mentioned a list of 8 questions you give people to answer before discussing supplement with you and that 9/10 times people answer their own question if the supplement’s worth taking or not. Can you share that question framework? Thank you
Layne Norton posted a thread on x.com about AGE's and glucose spikes and reminded me of an episode or article you'd talked about mentioning minimizing the amount of glucose spikes in one's lifetime to optimize for health and longevity. How has your point of view changed on this and can you address AGEs, and if this factors into your framework. Also if you consider the ways that AGE's can be minimized in food prep/ choices etc or does it not matter or move the needle enough.
