Reducing ApoB should reduce dementia risk, but Richard Isaacson MD on podcast #18 mentioned statins increased memory loss in his APOE4 patients. What do you prescribe for your APOE4 patients with elevated ApoB? Are PCSK9 inhibitors safer? Maybe discuss pt desmosterol levels/coronary artery calcium scores and what pharmacology (if any) is utilized? Thank you from a family of four with double APOE4 alleles and high ApoB.
There is so much misinformation out there regarding newborn vaccines. Can you please issue a newsletter or AMA about the science supporting/refuting all vaccines recommended to newborns? Your deep dive on MMR and the Wakefield misinformation was enlightening. Brian Deer’s book and podcast with you were perfect. Anything you could publish regarding this topic would be greatly appreciated. My wife and I are expecting and sincerely value your opinion. Thank you!
Is there a template or a standard way to document an N of 1 study? Many of us have scientific backgrounds and are listening and reading carefully and designing our own interventions. I was thinking of documenting mine and my measures, but was curious if there are prior examples of similar N of 1 studies out there?
If two people exercise with goal of maximizing mitochondrial function, density, vo2 max, with a larger goal of general health: If person A recruits a larger % of their muscle mass for zone 2 and vo2 max training- would they receive more benefit? Do the mitochondria only improve in the muscles worked during exercise- or is it global? Is it worth asking which activity: biking, running, swimming, elliptical, rucking- recruits the most muscle?
