Enclomiphene, an alternative to TRT?

I see you have started to weigh on TRT but I was curious to learn your thoughts on Enclomiphene. My understanding is that it could serve as an alternative to TRT for those who don't want to impact their testosterone production.

Afib- endurance sports

Hi Dr Attia, Good job for your show. In the litterature, we recently read a lot about the risk of endurance athlete of getting Afib or/and flutter. I would like to hear you on that topics. And by the rebound, i would like to hear speaking about Sleep apnea (it seems to correlate with Afib as well). Personaly, i am a triathlete, have sleep apnea and got a diagnostic of Afib by 38 yrs. I got an ablation, since then i continu to do triathlon (only sprint, not more than half marathon and turned to Crossfit and rock climbing).

Omega3 as inhibitor for IL-11

Do you think the recent IL-11 Nature study is promising for aging and how effective omega 3 fats are in inhibiting IL-11?

OTC CGM

My understanding is that both Dexcom and Abbott will be launching OTC versions of their CGM. Dexcom seems to be launching in August. I went through the 510k for the Dexcom OTC version and have some questions. My questions are from the perspective of a non-diabetic person using them for health/nutritional insight. Many of us can get prescriptions from our doctors relatively easily but our insurance won’t cover them without a diabetes diagnosis. The monthly cash cost of Dexcom G7 is about 200/month with manufacturer assistance. Reporting is the Dexcom OTC will launch with a cash pay price somewhat below that price. The Dexcom OTC seems to be identical sensor and transmitter to a G7 so has the same accuracy. The major differences are enforced by software and are a longer sensor life (15 days instead of 10), no alarms for hypoglycemia (likely a false alarm in a non insulin user) and the lack of the ability to calibrate. You’ve mentioned that you regularly need to calibrate your sensors. How would you trade off some cost/convenience benefits for the inability to calibrate an OTC sensor?

Hologic Horizon vs GE Logic DEXA lean mass/fat mass discrepancies

There are several studies (e.g. “Comparison of Two DXA Systems, Hologic Horizon W and GE Lunar Prodigy, for Assessing Body Composition in Healthy Korean Adults”, December 2021Endocrinology and Metabolism 36(6)) that have identified that “although measurements of body composition including muscle mass by the two DXA systems correlated strongly, significant differences were observed.” This will clearly result in different LMI and ALMI values. Percentile nomograms for GE are accessible on the internet but not for Hologic. Are GE and Hologic percentiles comparable and are Peter's percentile targets for GE or Hologic?
