There is a great deal of attention on cardiovascular disease and the health of critical arteries, but I seldom read preventative approaches to slowing valvular disease. Could you please comment on what individuals living at younger ages (40 and younger) can do to delay intervention?
Peter, In The New England Journal of Medicine, March 14, 2024, vol. 390 no. 11, Guardant Health has a blood test for colorectal cancer. - should this test be added to annual blood testing for years that a colonoscopy is not performed for people over 50 yo? "In an average-risk screening population, this cfDNA blood-based test had 83% sensitivity for colorectal cancer, 90% specificity for advanced neoplasia, and 13% sensitivity for advanced precancerous lesions. (Funded by Guardant Health; ECLIPSE ClinicalTrials.gov number, NCT04136002.)"
