Deadlifts and yoga? Assuming I am not going for personal best, and I don't want to be the most flexible yogi. Do I need to choose between one or the other? One the recent podcast with Dr Stuart McGill (which I really loved) one of the comments that truly caught my attention was the reference to yoga and deadlifts, that they should not be mixed. I am a yoga practitioner and have been for the last 15 years. I started the practice when I was in my mid 50’s, after I got an injury while doing weight training. Now, I do both as I feel it creates a nice balance. I don’t do deadlifts every week, but I occasionally do a few as part of my weight training routine. Should I cross them out of my practice altogether? How about squats? I love yoga and also love working out, I hope I can keep doing both. I read your book and try to do different exercises modalities to improve on several things, not just one thing. Thank you so much for all the work you and your team put into the podcasts. The topics are extremely interesting. Thank you, thank you!
Is there an optimum order to do these activities? Some folks advocate cold plunge prior to working out, then sauna, post work out for example, is there data to support an optimum order for these activities... and related to this, what do you think of Wim Hof and his "method" for longevity?
Hello from Australia. Loving your podcast. Having three teenage daughters I have been trying to find the pros and cons of contraception. My oldest daughter who is 17 gets terrible periods and wants to go on the pill. I am not so keen for what I have heard. Could you provide information on if you would even recommend it. Or what type of it was ok. Many thanks.
