Relating to blood glucose-pre diabetes
I have many questions. About 2 weeks ago I finished a 6 day course of prednisone. My blood overall daily glucose levels are still 20-25 points higher than before taking and I am having more spikes. Is this normal? I am wearing a nutri-sense glucose monitor for 3 months. Are there any other companies that allow monitoring affordably ($250/3 months with nutri-sense) since my insurance won’t cover it because I am not type 2…..yet? Would like to wear one all the time to help me monitor to prevent crossing over if possible. Is there anything I can do, like a cleanse that will get my levels back to normal? Why does showering consistently spike glucose levels and does a spike glucose levels and does this spike affect A1C tests? I would normally ask my Dr, but he recently retired due to a cancer diagnosis so I am without a primary Dr. Thank you

Thank you for your focus on ASCVD, the need for treatment with drugs, and the focus on Apo(B) and Lp(a). I'm someone with borderline FH, who was trying to treat with a very low saturated fat diet (vegan). Since listening to your show for a year I've learned that I also have extremely high Lp(a).
